Project Summary
At Seota, we specialize in transitioning businesses to WordPress from outdated CMS platforms, including proprietary systems or fading platforms such as Drupal. In 2023, one of the pressing needs we’ve identified comes from law firms aiming to transition away from the Scorpion marketing platform to WordPress.

Migrated from Scorpion to WordPress
One such prominent client was Omega Law, based in Los Angeles, CA. Representing a significant force in the LA legal milieu, this 13-attorney law firm approached us with a familiar predicament. They sought greater autonomy over their website and marketing strategies and decided that migrating from Scorpion CMS 8 to WordPress was the optimal solution.
The team at Omega Law was particularly fond of their original Scorpion design, for which they had made a significant investment. Their request to Seota was clear: recreate the Scorpion design in WordPress without compromising its aesthetics or functionality.
Our approach was methodical and client-centric. We began by crafting custom design mock-ups in Figma, ensuring we captured the essence and aesthetics of the original Scorpion design. Following the client’s approval of these designs, we translated them into HTML, presenting them for another round of validation. Once we received the green light on the HTML design, we delved deep into the intricate process of WordPress integration.
This phase is particularly development-intensive, as we often must devise unique strategies to manage various website datasets. For example, the Attorney pages necessitated bespoke WordPress functionalities, ensuring a centralized and reliable data source. Such an approach allows for the dynamic generation of both the attorney detail and list pages, utilizing a singular data source for accuracy and consistency.
